Card Board Catastrophe
The last project we did this year was constructing a 3D model made out of card board. We found out the area, surface area, and volume of different shapes and prisms. We were asked to draw a 2D figure of something that we wanted to recreate in 3D. We had a choice of making the figure big or small. When we finished our figures we could decorate them with different materials. I decided to make a dinosaur named Yoshi, I made him really small. I put a lot of green paper around him and red triangles on his back. After I was done I measured all of the shapes I made on him and I found the area and surface of the parts and him all together. I wish I could have done my Yoshi a little bigger because it is the smallest figure in the class and it was hard to measure all of the shapes.
